Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King

This next boss is pretty annoying for me. Strategy is as follows:

Psyche to 50 with Yangus, then attack. I suggest using the weapon you have more attack bonus with. I beat him pretty quickly, so it shouldn't be THAT HARD if you have a good weapon. As for the Hero, he should either defend or heal. His job is full support for now. Kalamari does high damage ranging from 12-26. Watch out for the fire breath, because that will hit both party members for above 20 damage without guarding. I was level 12 for this fight and that is the level I reccomend you be at when you fight Kalamari.
