As the endless blue carpet of the Pacific Ocean races beneath your fighter, you think back to the day Pearl Harbor was attacked. You remember the president's solemn words and how they spurred you to action. Seeing the distinctive shape of the Japanese planes in the distance, you jam the throttle forward and pull back on the stick, driving the plane skyward with a rush of acceleration. You single out one of the enemy planes and focus on the red circle painted on his wing. This is it — you dive from above and open fire with 50-caliber impunity. His plane catches fire and plunges toward the unforgiving water. This is why you wanted to fly fighters in the first place.

Heroes of the Pacific recreates the epic air battles of the entire Pacific campaign during World War II. Both arcade and professional-style controls allow players to experience the epic scope of battle in such locations as Wake Island, Midway and the Coral Sea.
